I'm taking up the challenge!

Keidra threw down the gauntlet in her blog, so I'm up for the challenge. It's a meme that was taken from Sid's blog.

Random 10:
The Refuge, U2, War
Underdog, Butthole Surfers, Saturday Morning Cartoons' Greatest Hits
London Calling, The Clash,
Justify My Thug, Jay-Z and Dangermouse, The Grey Album,
Cool, Gwen Stefani, Love. Angel. Music. Baby.
I Am A Man Of Constant Sorrow, The Soggy Bottom Boys featuring Dan Tyminski, O Brother, Where Art Thou
Bang, Bang (My Baby Shot me Down), Nancy Sinatra, Kill Bill Vol. 1
Shake your Coconuts, Junior Senior
All I Care About, Richard Gere, Chicago
Gravel Pit, Wu Tang Clan, The W

What is the total amount of music files on your computer?
1,836 (they're all legal! don't sue me RIAA!)

The last CDs you bought were:
Gwen Stefani, Love. Angel. Music. Baby.
U2, How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb (really, it was more of a St. Nick's pressie).

What is the song you last listened to before this message?
Tough call. I really read this one over during the day, so I can't remember. Honestly, it was Cool, by Gwen Stefani, but as I typed this it was Rain from the Cowboy Bebop soundtrack (WHOOOOOAAAA!!!!! In the rain!)

Write down five songs you often listen to or that mean a lot to you.
Why, Annie Lennox (it's heartbreakingly beautiful and I can't stop singing along to it. I love the lines, "I tell myself too many times/Why don't you ever learn to keep your big mouth shut")
When I Grow Up, Garbage (sums up me really. I'd have that as one of the songs in the soundtrack of my life).
I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, U2 (the loping bass line, Bono's lyrics of searching for something -- I identified with it when I was 10 and I still do now).
Thank You, Dido (reminds me that when I see Jeff, it's usually the best moment of my day).
It's the End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine), REM (one of the best songs to bop around to)

Who are you going to pass this stick to (and why)?
Enich! I have a feeling it'll be interesting.
Alan! Not that he'll answer, but I'd love to speculate on what he'd say.
Kat! I don't know if she'd answer either, but I'm interested to see what she likes.

Good stuff, there. I've noticed that other people's lists are more chick heavy than mine. Sometimes I wonder why I don't have more chicks in my CD collection.

I think that most of my chick rockers I like because their voices are lower pitched and more growly at times. For example, I'm loving Lucinda Williams right now and I've always loved Annie Lennox. If I can sing in their range, odds are I might like that female singer.

Ha! The joke's on you, I recently had to reinstall and my mp3s haven't been all reloaded yet. Plus, I'm at work right now. Also, Brian owes me a disk full of music which would undoubtedly change some of the answers.

So nyah.
