If I do this, I'll be bankrupt

For food freaks, the Observer listed the top 50 things every foodie should do. While some of them seem obtainable (such as milking a cow -- easy peasy in Wisconsin), eating a Coney Island hot dog or making a nice slice of toast, the other ones are a bit out of my range. Dining at Jean Georges is impossible as well as celeb watching with seafood at Club 55 in St. Tropez. However, I do like the mix of cheap fun and expensive eats. It's proof positive that one can eat well for not much money (or so I hope). However, they don't mention some of the things I believe you must do before you drop dead (or move from Madison):

1. Have (reasonably) cheap cocktails at Opus.
2. Get a gyro from Parthenon on State Street.
3. Sample the food carts at Library Mall.
4. Eat Babcock Ice Cream at Memorial Union during a summer day.
5. Beer brats. Nuff said.

I've done it all! (OK, except the brats)
