Here's my contribution to the Finetune Friday theme (a little early since I don't know how insane Benevolent Dictator will be tomorrow)!
Jon's request was for people to choose road trip music. I was inspired by a NPR interview with Yo Yo Ma about his Silk Road Ensemble and the idea that was probably one hell of a road trip. My goal was to give a taste of what it must have sounded like for people traveling along the road (one way or the other) as they traveled from one country to the next.
Also, it's nice to listen to when you're looking for something other than the usual classical music. I'm kind of proud of this one. It was a challenge (and I have to thank friends for their world music knowledge), but I'm pretty pleased by the result.
