Happy Birthday Raizel!

So my dear friend Raizel -- she of sweetness, kindness and a wonderfully snarky attitude at times -- celebrated her birthday yesterday. I apologize for the lateness of this, but I had to post some of the more notable things that occurred on her birthday:

1. Brazilian soccer great Pelè scores his 1,000th professional goal in a game, against Vasco da Gama in Rio de Janeiro's Maracana stadium in 1969. GOOOOOOAAAAALLL!

2. The first day of the Nuremberg Trials began in 1945.

3. Jodie Foster was born on 1962 and Sinatra screen tested for From Here to Eternity in 1952. The casting of the Chairman for that movie led to him winning an Oscar.

4. Literary great Henry James publishes his first novel in 1975.

Happy birthday! I hope you're enjoying NYC!
