Ubersexuals can lick my uberass

From the jackasses that gave us "metrosexuals" -- here it is ladies and gentlemen, the "Ubersexual."

According to some stupid marketing firm out of New York City and some dipshit named Marian Salzman:

"The descriptor 'uber' was chosen because it means the best, the greatest," says Salzman. "Ubersexuals are the most attractive (not just physically), most dynamic, and most compelling men of their generations. They are confident, masculine, stylish, and committed to uncompromising quality in all areas of life."

While Salzman does have a point about men getting sick and tired of being portrayed as either frat boys or clueless dolts clinging to their wife's (or mother's) apron strings, I fail to see how coining a new term (which causes me to cringe as I say it) will help matter much.

Not to mention the laundry list of what an "ubersexual" vs "metrosexual" (GAG) is really doesn't help matters at all. All it does is set up another stupid stereotype.

While Bono is considered the uberest of "ubersexuals" in Salzman's book, I still cringe. I mean it's neat that Bono, Jon Stewart and Ewan McGregor got props from her, but to include them in a list with Donald Trump, Bill Clinton and Arnold Schwarzenegger already makes me consider the idea of the "ubersexual" to be very suspect.

Way too much thought is being put into this. Guys are assholes, or they're not. Period.

Also, there's something about the phrase "ubersexual" that makes me giggle. To me it sounds like a time for a person who will have sex with anything.

I, myself, like the term technosexual---hot geeks rule! Then again, maybe it means robot sex....hmmm.

QGM -- I'm with you. I'm hardcore into geeks. You should ask Keidra about when we watched Goldeneye. She was all about Sean Bean and I'm all about the computer nerd.
