End of an Internet Era

Television Without Pity's founders, Wing Chun, Sars and Glark, announced that they're no longer with the snark-filled recap site (which was bought by Bravo last year):

We really can't express how much we've enjoyed working here with, and for, all of you over the years, and how much we've always appreciated your encouragement and support. Television Without Pity is what it is because of its fantastic users, and you guys kept us going through some tough times (emotionally as well as fiscally). You've made the job fun -- and crazy, but, you know, in a fun way.

It's a damn shame. TWOP (aka Mighty Big TV back in the day) was my favorite place to get recaps for a bunch of shows I loved or didn't watch, but loved the recappers enough to read (M. Giant's Rome recaps and Aaron's Sopranos recaps come immediately to mind).

Admittedly, I haven't visited the site as steadily since Benevolent Dictator came into my life and since the Bravo acquisition, I've been disappointed in the site. I miss the old funky clip art. I miss the witty posts by people and the informative, yet funny as hell, recaps.

Good luck guys, I hope that things work out for you. As for TWOP, I'll still visit every now and then, but it's not going to have the same snark-filled goodness.

Man, that sucks. I just don't think the level of snark will be there without these three.

Though whoever is writing the rock of love 2 recaps is pretty funny!

What are they going off to do?

K. -- I got no clue really -- the press release didn't say. I figure writing or something.

Why does Bravo have to ruin everything that is good?

I was JUST going to comment about the ROL recaps and user commentary in the threads. It's my first experience with TWOP, and I'd say it's still pretty snark-tastic.
