My niece is an anime character

On Sunday, Jeff and I made another trip back to Brewtown to see my mom, grandma, sister and the two little troublemakers (who are too adorable for words). Maddie is now out of house arrest and quite a cute little girl. She literally smiles like an anime character, as illustrated below:

She's also a bit more calm and laid back than her big brother -- who loves exploring and trying out new things. It's funny seeing the contrast between the two. For a long time Stella and I were comparing Elliott toStitch from Lilo and Stitch. My favorite story is how Elliott was in home, feeling a bit of cabin fever, and he looked outside the window and said the following:

"Climb. Wall. Climb wall."

I wouldn't be surprised if I came over to her house and saw Elliott climbing around the ceiling. But on Sunday, he decided to check out the big slides on the playground, with Uncle Jeff being the good guy and catching him when he hit the bottom.

Not to mention, while I was at home, I managed to get some Georgie Porgie's -- which has killer onion rings, fries, burgers, gyros and blueberry shakes. Seriously -- Georgie's blueberry shakes are the best that I've ever had. They beat Culver's by a mile. That's one reason why sometimes going home is a good thing.
