Vote you bitches!

You know how back in 2004 all of us hippy-dippy, crunchy granola liberals said we weren't done fighting? After we saw the results of the 2004 presidential election, where all of us wanted to move to Canada or split the country into United States of Canada and Jesusland? After the blue funk because we thought Kerry would win as president (and even if you didn't like Kerry, he was preferable to Shrub? Then again, a rabid badger is preferable to Shrub).

"Wait until 2006," we said. "Just wait."

Well, it's 2006. Tomorrow is election day. It's time to put our money where our mouth is. It's the same thing like two years ago -- it seems like it's time for a revolution, but will there be one? It seems like a prime moment after all these scandals such as DeLay and Foley. It seems like we're on the revolution -- but let's be real. It's not going to happen unless you vote. Congress isn't going to change unless you vote. Nothing will change unless you vote.

Your call. Are we committed to change, or is it all big talk?

I voted. In my mind.

That...doesn't count, does it?
