NaBloPoMo: Day 30 -- The End!

It's the final day of National Blog Post Month and I have to say in a
way, I'm fucking glad to be done with this little project. I'm glad I
did it and I'd probably do it again, but it was rough.

The thing is that I always
considered my blog as a personal pet project -- I do want to keep it
updated and I do want to write something interesting. However, that's
fucking hard to do every single day, and there was a certain point
where I felt like it wasn't writing for me, but writing as a chore. And
seriously, I do writing for a living, so I really didn't enjoy the
feeling that my blog became a job of having to write -- not for my
amusement, but for this project.

But that's the hard thing about
writing -- especially if you want to do it for a living. You have to do
it ALL THE FUCKING TIME. Even if you don't want to. Even if you're
tired. Even if inspiration is running low.

This was a rough
month, and I think I'd do it again, just to keep my writing skills
honed. Maybe next time I'll just see if I can do a month-long story in
blog posts. But for now, I think I'll go back to posting a few times a
week, when the muse deems it worthy.
