There's a certain point in your life when you realize that you're an adult. Not just a grown-up with grown-up responsibilities, but an old fogey.
And I realized that at our Halloween party last night when I passed out for a two hour nap as a party swirled around me. Granted, I haven't been feeling well for the past few weeks -- I've just been feeling so tired lately and worn out -- but this was a marked moment for me. A "HOLY SHIT! I'm old!" moment. I so should've taken a long nap before the party.
The exhaustion that I've been feeling filtered down to my costume, which I changed three or four times. I never did find the white cotton nightgown for my costume as Landlady from Kung Fu Hustle (not to mention, I'd have to cut a foot of my hair to get it up in rollers, and I haven't had time for that at all). I did have an ivory flannel nightgown, which turned out to be perfect for napping in.
Thankfully, no one seemed to mind, since they all seemed to have a good time. But that credit can also be given to Eva and Abby for helping set up, Alan for the Karaoke Revolution game and Jabby's potent punch.

OMG! LOL! You as the landlady from kung fu hustle sounds FAN-tastic! If you try it again, I suggest getting a cheap wig and putting the rollers in that.
Sorry you missed some of the party, but you have been sick, you aren't old.
You are NOT old. You are just a person with a busy life and you're juggling lost of stuff.
Got pics! I wanna see 'em!
Okay, now I feel old. There's Karaoke Revolution?!
