The Halloween wrap-up report

While State Street was rioting again (*sigh*), I was obsessing over a brownie smudge in my carpet.

When I booted people from our house at 3 (or was it 2) a.m., they didn't riot. Thank heavens. I wouldn't encourage that behavior.

Shows you the difference in parties huh?

It was a good time. My costume and Jeff's costume were a hit (I think that the well-placed bloody handprint on his apron was quite effective) and there were a lot of cool costumes at the party. Eva's costume as DC Hero Zoltna was quite awesome, as well as Mark D.'s pirate. He's got flowing red locks and earrings -- hence he made quite a cool pirate. Katie was really cute as the Black Canary and well -- there was way too many costumes to list. If I find a link to a gallery, I'll let ya know.

Brian loses points with me because he went as Alton Brown -- but with his normal glasses, he looked like Brian in denim.

Parties for me are always cool because it's seeing people that I haven't seen in awhile and costumes are fun just because they're wacky. It was just a strange night because we had one wave leave around 9-10 ish and then suddenly a second wave showed up 11:30-midnight. Good times tho.

I can just tell that I'm getting old because both Jeff and I were ready to go to bed at about 1 a.m. and the party was still going strong. I'm glad that everyone had a good time.

As for the city of Madison and the rioting on State Street for the third time in a row, this is for all of the out-of-towner fuckheads who think it's fun to come here and break shit:

KNOCK IT THE FUCK OFF! We don't come to your towns to riot. Whatever happened to just chilling, being drunk and mellow? Do we have to pepper-spray your asses on entry into the city for you fuckheads to get the point?

Fuck. You'd think that for people with the power to vote, they'd have more brains than that.
