EEEEEEEEEEEEE!

*Ahem* We can now call off the nerd riots that were planned -- as well as the raids on Hollywood. ROTK sweeps the 2004 oscars. Is it wrong for me to be squealing like a fangirl and bouncing up and down happily? See, the other "F" word -- fantasy -- can make decent and fun movies!

While I'm glad for ROTK and the hobbits, I was sad for Bill Murray losing for Lost in Translation. But no matter what, we still love you Bill and your wonderful performance.

Fashionwise, I would like to say this: Diane Keaton -- please knock it off with the Annie Hall look. And what's with the black gloves? Is her skin peeling off? Is she a cyborg? Or is she going to kill off Charlize Theron?

What the hell is up with Marcia Gay Harden's head? She looked like she was paying homage to Lt. Uhura from Star Trek.

And It looks like Uma decided to look like a post-modern Heidi from the Alps.

There were fashion winners in my book. Angelina Jolie looked sexy as hell. I loved Liv Tyler's little cats-eye glasses during her presentation and Fran Walsh looked cute. But that's not as much fun to snark on.

No matter what, ROTK got its precious....and no one can take it away. Not even the nasty artistes.

Edited to add: Loved Blake Edwards. Nice twist on the Lifetime Achievement Award with the wheelchair going through the wall. A nice tribute to the Pink Panther and I love comedy in unexpected areas.
